Origin Story
I came from a broken home. My dad was around, but like a lot of men, I never got a true rite of passage. I did a mission to South Korea, which opened my eyes—but in the years that followed, I found myself drifting. I made bad decisions, fell into attention-seeking patterns, and lost myself for a while.
In my 40s, I realized I was craving two things: peak adventure and real male friendship. The kind that challenges you and fills your soul at the same time. Most of my friends had become too busy. One even had a nervous breakdown at 40 from overworking himself. And when I moved to Tucson, I went a whole year without making a single close male friend.
I tried a few men’s groups, but they felt awkward and forced. I kept thinking—what if connection could come naturally, through adventure?
Some of my deepest friendships came through ultra runs, mountain bike races, and shared suffering in the wild. I didn’t want just “bike friends,” though—I wanted brothers who could talk about business, fatherhood, marriage, and life. So I created Men of the Wyld.
This isn’t about robes or awkward sharing circles. It’s about real men coming together to do epic sh*t, challenge themselves, and build lasting bonds through adventure, breath, and firelight.
If you’re craving something deeper, you’re not alone. Welcome to the Wyld.
